Child Cabled headband

Child Cable Headband, it fits from a 5 year old on up, It even fits me. So cute! It took me a few tries before getting it the way I wanted it but it is all good now. Happy Knitting!

Child Cable Headband

Fun Headband! This Knit headband measures 19 Inches long. You can put a flower on it but this headband doesn’t need one. It looks like a little crown. Any little girl would love this one!

Materials: Lily White Micro Spun yarn (Lion Brand), knitting needle size 3.5 mm, Cable needle, White Button.

K = Knit
P= Purl
K2tog = Knit 2 tog.
YO = Yarn over
Dec = Decrease (Decrease by knitting 2 together)
Inc = Increase (Increase by Knitting both front and back on stitch)
C8F = Cable 8 in front – Do this  by holding first four stitches on cable needle and holding in front of work, Knit 4 sts on left needle, then Knit 4 sts from cable needle.
C8B = Cable 8 in back– Do this  by holding first four stitches on cable needle and holding in back of work, Knit 4 sts on left needle, then Knit 4 sts from cable needle.
C10F = Cable 10 in front – Do this  by holding first 5 stitches on cable needle and holding in front of work, Knit 5 sts on left needle, then Knit 5 sts from cable needle.
C10B = Cable 10 Back – Do this  by holding first 5 stitches on cable needle and holding in back of work, Knit 5 sts on left needle, then Knit 5 sts from cable needle.


Cast on 6 sts
Row1: K6
Row 2: P6
Row 3: K1, K2tog, YO, K3
Row 4: P6
Row 5: K 1, Inc, K2, Inc, K1
Row 6: P8
Row 7: K1, Inc, K4, Inc, K1

Row 8: K1, C8F, K1
Row 9: P10
Row 10: K10
Row 11: P10

Row 12-15: Rep Rows 8-11
Row 16-19: Rep Rows 8-11

Row 20: K10
Row 21: P10

Row 22: K1, C8F, K1
Row 23-27: Stocking Stitch (One row P, One row K).
Row28 – 33: Rep Rows 22-27
Row 34-39: Rep rows 22-27

Row 40: K4, Inc, Inc, K4
Row 41: P across

Row 42: K1, C10F, K1
Row 43-51: Stocking Stitch (One row P, One row K).
Row 52-61: Rep rows 42-51
Rows 62-71: Rep rows 42-51

Row 72-79: Stocking Stitch (One row P, One row K).
